BIO:
George Pfau is a San Francisco based painter who's layered works explore the gray area between immediately recognizable figures and their seemingly abstract or diagramatic surroundings. After graduating from N.Y.U.'s studio art program in 2005, George returned to San Francisco, where he was raised, to begin several painting and book projects. George recently worked with Prepress to produce an art book entitled George Pfau...2006. Copies of this book have been distributed for free at all of his recent shows at venues including, Bluespace and Michelle O’Connor galleries in San Francisco, Vox Populi in Philadelphia, and No Regrets in Naugatuck, CT. Additionally, Juxtapoz Magazine named him their November 2007 Get Exposed Winner. His work can be seen online at www.gpfau.com.
